Mi Hermano y Yo is a very special Latin Folk Band Based in Sydney Australia. Our main objective is to share our Latin American values and culture through our music.

We consider ourselves as the most traditional and fashionable band in the country, with a unique format combining Vallenato and Latin Folk music in one band.

Mi hermano y yo was formed in 2017 with the mission of conveying the musical rhythms of Colombia and ensuring the public enjoys each of the songs from our repertoire. Our music has been named as uplifting and full of energy. During our performances the whole audience always feels included, this is demonstrated by their applause, happiness and the vibe that the band is able to create. Our Parranda Vallenata will bring you back to Colombia for a night and remind you the great things about being Latino!

It’s vibrant and amazing!

The name of the band means ‘My Brother and I’ this name was chosen from a popular Vallenato song by Emiliano Zuleta which tells the story of the infinite and solid love and bond between siblings. Just like the lyrics of the song ‘Mi Hermano y Yo’ our band feels that our musical journey has united us and fused us as a solid ensemble.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Successful Tour around Sydney's iconic pubs.

Our Aim was to play at Sydney's most iconic pubs and share our music and culture with the Australian community. We selected pub's where we considered our audience was not related or had any or much interaction with Latin American Folk music. We shared our Parranda Vallenata and our Folclore Colombiano shows with our audience. The following are some of the pub's we selected:
